Hello, I received a letter from DMV that i will be suspended for additional 60 days on top of my current suspension due to having 20 points. I am suppose to get my license back on June 14th now they are saying i won't get it back till Aug 14th so is there any way i could get it back on June 14th or have less suspension time instead of two months. when should i send the appeal notice and should i do online defensive drive course before i send the appeal letter or doesn't really matter?
Thank you very much i will appreciate all the help i can get.

Less'>You can request an opportunity hearing with the MJMVC to either reduce or eliminate the proposed additional 60 days license suspension. I do suggest you retain an attorney for this purpose as the NJMVC will only grant you a hearing subject to a meritorious legal argument set forth on your behalf.
It is possible to get a hearing and maybe reduce or avoid further suspension, but your letter must present legal and factual reasons to be granted a hearing. Simply requesting a hearing will result in denial. The letter must be received prior to the suspension going into effect or by the date specified in the letter.
My colleagues are correct, you will need to identify a meritorious defense. I suggest you retain an attorney to analyze your driving record and the proposed action by the MVC.
